Origin: Lake Malawi, Africa. Specifically found in the Viphya Plateau area, which is often referred to as VC10.

Lifespan: 8 to 10 years in captivity.
Diet: Omnivorous, feeding on a variety of foods including algae, small invertebrates, and plant matter. In aquariums, they can be fed a mix of high-quality cichlid pellets, flakes, and occasional live or frozen foods like brine shrimp and bloodworms.
Behavior: Placidochromis milmo are generally peaceful and can be kept in community tanks with other peaceful cichlids and fish of similar size. They are known for their vibrant colors and active swimming patterns.
