Breeding:

Breeding the Pearl Gourami is possible in a well-maintained aquarium. Males build a bubble nest at the surface of the water and court the female. The male will wrap around the female to encourage her to release eggs, which he fertilizes and then collects and places in the bubble nest. The male will guard the nest and the fry until they are free-swimming.
